For optimal performance of a ceiling fan, fan blades should be 2,2 m from the floor, but no higher than 2,4 m -2,7 m. For ceilings 2,7 m or higher, an extension down rod is recommended to bring the fan blades down to the proper height

This extension down rod features an antique nickel finish and 2,2 cm diameter that is compatible with Westinghouse antique nickel ceiling fans.
